JOB DESCRIPTION

Catering Event Lead Heritage Catering is hiring for multiple Event Leads to support our team on-site at events! Heritage Catering has a long track record in Madison and has the privilege of holding the premier caterer contract for Concerts on the Square. In addition, we service many corporate and private events throughout the year, each offering unique and new excitement! As an Event Lead, you will work closely with the

teams in the execution of catering events. Ideal candidates will be highly organized leaders, can manage a team, will provide upscale customer service, and will follow catering protocols and procedures, while offering solutions for enhanced processing.

JOB DUTIES

Studies event details in advance of event execution Participates in loading & unloading of catering vehicles before and after events Leads FOH team (Event Support members, Bartenders, and/or Servers) in on-site event set-up, execution, and breakdown Sets up event operations for food & beverage service including temporary kitchen sets, pipe and drape, food stations, etc. Executes food & beverage services including high-level plated meals, buffets, bars, and drop-offs Operates catering vehicles (CDL not required) as necessary (small van, large box trucks) Performs post-event organizational tasks

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

2+ years hospitality service, event coordinating, and/or event execution experience 1+ year in a leadership role Strong organization, time management, problem solving, and attention to detail Works collaboratively with the team and independently with minor direction Ability to stand on feet for 8+ hours on event days Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Valid Driver's License required for operation of company vehicles

JOB DETAILS

Schedule:

0-40 hours/week, depending on event shift availability and staff preference Shifts will be offered to a pool of Event Leads to select on a "first come, first served" basis. Most events occur May-September on nights and weekends with shifts typically ranging from 7-10 hours.

Work Locations:

Home base in Fitchburg, WI Event-based work throughout the Madison area.

We operate three businesses in the Madison area: Heritage Catering, Heritage Tavern, and Fox Heritage Farms. We are a family business at the core and have staff that have been with the company for many years. We bring on new staff each season to support our teams and enjoy cross-training staff across different areas of the business. We prioritize sourcing locally and raise our own hogs to maintain the closest connection of farm-to-table across our businesses. Heritage Catering, based in Fitchburg, WI, has been providing upscale catering services to both private and corporate customers in and around the Madison area since 2012, and are honored to have been the Premier Caterer for Concerts on the Square for many years. Our team is growing and we are excited to welcome new members to execute successful events for our clients. Heritage Tavern is an independent restaurant that is family owned and operated and located in the heart of downtown Madison, WI. We offer a sophisticated atmosphere with fine dining service and a fun craft cocktail bar. We have been successfully operating since 2013 with a rotating menu with fresh, farm-to-table influences and old world classics. We work with local ingredients from farmers in Dane county and high quality meats from our own animals and meat processing facility. Fox Heritage Farms/Willow Creek is our meat processing facility and home office, located in Prairie du Sac. We have a central office at this location and operate a small meat market for the public. In partnership with small WI family farms, we breed and raise our Berkshire hogs on open pasture, without antibiotics or hormones. All products we sell are produced by our local team and out of our own meat processing facility. We sell products both wholesale and retail.
