Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Banquet Manager to oversee the planning and execution of banquet events at our hotel. This individual will be responsible for ensuring exceptional guest experiences while managing banquet staff, coordinating with multiple departments, and maintaining high service standards for weddings, meetings, conferences, and special events. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Responsibilities Oversee all banquet and event operations from setup through event completion Coordinate with Sales, Kitchen, and Hotel Operations teams to ensure smooth execution of events Supervise, schedule, train, and motivate banquet staff Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and professional service standards Conduct pre-event meetings with staff to review event details and expectations Monitor banquet setup, food presentation, service quality, and cleanliness Handle guest concerns and resolve issues promptly and professionally Maintain labor and operational costs within budget guidelines Ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations Assist with inventory management and ordering of banquet supplies and equipment Support other Food & Beverage operations as needed Qualifications Previous banquet, food & beverage, or hospitality management experience required Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays Knowledge of banquet service standards and event operations Proficiency with hotel POS and event management systems preferred Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds Preferred Qualifications Hotel banquet management experience preferred Experience managing weddings, conferences, and large-scale events ServSafe or alcohol service certification is a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Paid time off Health benefits (if applicable) Employee hotel discounts Opportunities for growth and advancement Schedule Full-time Evening, weekend, and holiday availability required Work Location On-site at hotel property
