In this role, you will design domestic and international itineraries, book transportation, lodging, and tours, and recommend AAA and partner insurance and financial products that protect member travel. You will consult with members to understand budgets and risk tolerance, provide accurate pricing, process payments, and ensure policy compliance. The Travel Agent will use GDS and reservation platforms, resolve issues during travel, and deliver exceptional, safety-focused service that reflects our integrity and member-first culture. Responsibilities Consult with AAA members to assess travel preferences, budget, and risk tolerance Research and design domestic and international travel itineraries Book air, hotel, car rental, cruises, and tours using GDS and online reservation systems Recommend and explain travel insurance and related financial protection products Provide accurate pricing, process payments, and issue confirmations and travel documents Resolve booking issues, changes, and cancellations while maintaining member satisfaction Ensure adherence to company policies, partner guidelines, and regulatory requirements Maintain detailed member records and documentation in CRM systems Stay current on travel trends, destinations, and vendor offerings Collaborate with internal teams to support promotions, member campaigns, and service goals Required Skills Travel booking and itinerary planning GDS/reservation systems (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus) Customer service and conflict resolution Sales and cross-selling of insurance/financial products Travel insurance knowledge Payment processing and basic finance math CRM and member record management Domestic and international destination knowledge Regulatory and policy compliance Written and verbal communication
