Yes, Required Position Overview The Travel Clerk III (Defense Travel Administrator
  • DTA) provides essential support to the Defense Travel System (DTS) by ensuring accurate travel processing, compliance with applicable regulations, and reliable assistance to travelers and approving officials.
This position is anticipated based on an upcoming contract award, and we are currently gathering interest from qualified candidates who may be an ideal fit once the role becomes active. The DTA will maintain user permissions, assist with travel documents, and support efficient travel operations in accordance with organizational travel policies. Key Responsibilities Support day‑to‑day Defense Travel System (DTS) operations as a Defense Travel Administrator (DTA). Manage user profiles, routing lists, and DTS permission levels. Assist travelers with authorizations, vouchers, amendments, and DTS document troubleshooting. Ensure compliance with travel policies outlined in the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) and organizational guidelines. Coordinate with
USARCENT G8
to maintain administrative appointment requirements. Respond to traveler inquiries and provide guidance on proper procedures and entitlements. Maintain required certifications and stay informed of travel policy updates and system changes. Support accuracy and timeliness of travel documentation, ensuring proper workflow routing and approval. Required Qualifications Current completion of DTMO TraX training:
  • DTA Basics
  • DTS Travel Documents (DTS 101
  • Programs & Policies (101) Active administrative appointment with
USARCENT
G8, including a current DD Form 577 as an appointed DTA. Minimum of three (3) years of government travel experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience working within DTS in a military or federal setting. Familiarity with DFAS processes and travel financial procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot travel‑related issues. Additional Information This position is anticipated pending contract award , and timelines may vary. We are identifying qualified, interested candidates in advance to ensure a smooth transition once the award is finalized.
