Seasonal (April - October in Hoonah, Alaska)
Compensation:
$18.00 per hour, plus bonus potential•

Were seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Guest Services Representatives to help create memorable experiences for our guests. As part of our team, youll be at the heart of delivering exceptional service in one of Alaskas most stunning destinations.
What Youll Do:
Provide outstanding customer service to all Icy Strait Point guests.

Sell tickets and provide guests with information about all available tours.

Greet guests, conduct orientations, and manage line control.

Assist with tour preparation, including:

Verifying excursion requirements (e.g., weight checks, drivers licenses).Ensuring waivers are signed.

Escorting guests to tour vehicles or gondolas and ensuring timely departures.

Managing secure bag check areas.

Promote Icy Strait Point venues, distribute literature, and sell merchandise.

Communicate clearly with tour guides, drivers, gondola operators, and management.

Ensure the safe and orderly flow of passengers on/off aerial gondolas and tour vehicles.

Assist with other programs and tasks as needed.
What You Bring:
A willingness to learn about Tlingit culture and deliver a Tlingit introduction.

Knowledge of local marine life, plants, animals, and birds is a plus.

Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work with both adults and children.

A commitment to safety and attention to detail.

The ability to learn, retain, and present excursion information accurately.

Must be 18 years or older.

A safety-sensitive mindset (subject to drug testing).
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Willingness to live in a remote, rural community.

Comfortable traveling by small plane or ferry to and from a remote location.

Ability to walk and work on gravel roads in various weather conditions.

Capable of moderate physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and lifting more than 25 lbs.
