Full Job Description Education:

High School Diploma or GED Months/Years of Experience:

Multi-discipline technology administrator with a minimum of 20 years' experience. SMEs do not have specific experience/education qualifications but are typically identified as Industry leaders for a given expertise.

Required Qualifications:

U. S. Citizen. Must have a Security Clearance. Must possess qualifications and/or particular expertise that is exceptional and/or highly unique. Must possess extensive expertise in satellite communications systems and expeditionary IT operations in austere environments. Experience integrating secure

SIPRNET/NIPRNET

over satellite links. Experience with Type 1 encryption data transfer via TACLANE devices. Must have proven track record in deploying and sustaining resilient communications infrastructure for remote and maritime missions, including fiber, VoIP and tactical data networks. Strong knowledge of Cisco routing and switching, encryption devices, and cybersecurity frameworks.

Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience with the MOSAIC system or MOSAIC - like systems is desired.

Duties:

Serve as SatCom / mission support trusted advisor. Leverage extensive experience in Broad Ocean Area mission execution to provide expert council and guide project office decisions to mitigate risks. Travel up to 50% in execution team leadership role in support of land-based and BOA missions. SMEs typically perform the following types of functions: Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs; provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff; provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues; discusses need or problems with clients; supervises studies and leads surveys to collect and analyze data to provide advice and recommend solutions.
