Job Description
Position Overview:
As a mountain bike guide, you will lead guests on guided mountain bike rides on the Tanque Verde Ranch trails that are suited to the guests skill level. Skill levels are beginner to intermediate. You will instruct guests in proper operation of the bicycles, how to ride safely and efficient mountain biking techniques to promote the enjoyment of the ride and to encourage guests to try mountain biking in the future. The guided mountain bike rides range from 1 to 10 guests on a ride, ages 7 and older.Duties & Responsibilities:
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Guides guests on mountain bike rides through TVR Ranch TrailsMust evaluate guest levels of experience for safety and their enjoymentSkill in teaching bicycling to guestsMust be able to engage and entertain when dealing with the guest participantsMust safely and efficiently guide rides ranging from 1 10 riders.
Responsible for the safety and well-being of the children and adults during the day and evening programs. Ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining approved standards and procedures set by the Resort.
Must clean the bikes and maintain them at the end of each day Inspects bicycles and protective equipment prior to ridesStrong listener and communicatorMulti-tasking skills, and ability to share focus on many tasks/initiatives simultaneously
Job Requirements:
Proven problem solving skills with ability to maintain composure in stressful situations.The position may also require the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally.
This position requires the ability to stand, and, walk, 4 to 5 hours at a time, climb stairs, reach, and bend.
High degree of professional and personal integrity Education & Experience High School diploma and/or 1-2 years of bicycling program/guidance experienceAbility to stand, and, walk, 4 to 5 hours at a time, climb stairs, reach, bend, taste, see, hear, smell and feel or touch. The position may also require the ability to lift over 50 pounds occasionally. CPR/First Aid training desired
