1 Description American Traveler is seeking an RN Nurse Lead for a Labor and Delivery unit, requiring 5+ years of RN experience and at least 2 years of supervisory/charge nurse experience. Details Labor and Delivery unit within an acute care hospital featuring a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and trauma center designation Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, no set schedule/rotating No call requirements Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active California RN license required Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (within the last 2 years) Minimum 5 years of RN experience required Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience required Charge nurse experience required Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience required Epic EMR experience required Additional Information Provides unit-based leadership, supervising and directing nursing and ancillary personnel in collaboration with the Nurse Manager, Director, and Physicians Participates in patient care activities and conducts rounds to assess patient needs and introduce self to patients and families Coordinates care conferences with health team members, patients, and families to develop and revise individualized care plans Develops strategies with leadership to improve patient, family, and physician satisfaction Fosters a culturally sensitive, patient and family-centered care environment Accepts local candidates, with local pay rates equal to travel rates and no radius restriction Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will be automatically declined Candidates with a prior disciplinary action on their license will not be considered
