Job Description

Job Description FTI - Florida Training & Investigations LLC is hiring Seasonal Pool Monitors to support pool and amenity-area operations in the Davenport, FL area . This position is ideal for reliable, professional, and customer-service-oriented candidates who can work outdoors, communicate respectfully with residents and guests, and help maintain a safe, orderly, and family-friendly pool environment.
Please note:
onboarding, paperwork, and uniform pickup may be completed at our main office in Kissimmee, FL 34744 . Work assignments may be located in Davenport or nearby company/client locations based on seasonal and operational needs. Position Overview Seasonal Pool Monitors help observe pool and amenity areas, remind residents and guests of posted rules, report incidents or concerns, and communicate with supervisors when issues arise. This is not a lifeguard position . Pool Monitors are not responsible for water rescue, swimming supervision, or lifeguard duties unless specifically trained, certified, and assigned in writing by management. Basic Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Must have reliable transportation. Must have a working phone and respond to company communication. Must be able to work in the Davenport, FL area. Must be able to work outdoors in Florida weather conditions. Weekend and holiday availability is strongly preferred. Must be punctual, dependable, and professional. Must be able to follow post orders, pool rules, client instructions, and company policies. Must be able to communicate respectfully with residents, guests, coworkers, supervisors, and property staff. Must be able to complete company onboarding requirements. Preferred Qualifications Customer service experience. Prior pool monitor, amenity monitor, resort, hospitality, HOA, access control, or security experience. Ability to remain calm and professional when addressing rule violations. Strong communication skills. Ability to stand, walk, observe, and remain alert during assigned shifts. Availability for weekends, holidays, and seasonal peak days. Key Responsibilities Monitor pool and amenity areas during assigned shifts. Help maintain a safe, orderly, and professional environment. Remind residents and guests of posted pool rules and property expectations. Observe and report unsafe behavior, rule violations, incidents, maintenance concerns, or suspicious activity. Communicate promptly with supervisors regarding incidents, emergencies, complaints, or operational concerns. Complete daily activity reports, incident reports, and other required documentation as instructed. Follow all post orders, client instructions, and company procedures. Maintain professional appearance and conduct at all times. Protect confidential company, client, resident, guest, and operational information. Clock in and out accurately using the company-approved timekeeping system. Scheduling Expectations This is a seasonal part-time/flex position based on client needs, weather, pool activity, holidays, weekends, and operational demand. Hours may vary and are not guaranteed unless stated in writing by management. Additional shifts may be offered based on: Availability Reliability Attendance Professionalism Communication Distance from worksite Supervisor feedback Client needs Company needs Important Expectations If you accept a shift, you are expected to report as scheduled. Repeated lateness, failure to communicate, refusal of accepted shifts, or last-minute call-outs may affect future scheduling. No-call/no-show may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination. Pool Monitors must communicate through the proper chain of command. Pool Monitors must not contact clients, residents, Board Members, vendors, property staff, or third parties regarding internal employment matters unless specifically authorized by management. Pool Monitors must remain professional, calm, and respectful when addressing residents or guests. Good Fit For This Position This position may be a good fit if you: Want seasonal part-time work. This Position May Not Be a Good Fit If You Need guaranteed full-time hours immediately. Cannot work weekends or holidays. Do not have reliable transportation. Are not comfortable working outdoors. Have difficulty addressing rules or communicating professionally with guests. Frequently need last-minute schedule changes.
