These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP). Serve as an advisor and mentor to all levels of staff and leadership in the field of Interpretation, Education, and Volunteerism. Will participate in strategic planning for programming, exhibits, volunteerism, and staff development. Work collaboratively to develop and revise interpretive programs, media, and digital content related to the enabling legislation. 25% Utilize joint partnerships to engage in Interpretive Strategic Planning for new and rehabilitated park interpretive sites 25% Provide interpretive subject matter expertise and technical advisory support to NPS units and external partners for creation of interpretive offerings. Work includes historical research, partner collaboration, site visits (travel), and formal interpretive presentations. 25% Manage and evaluate volunteer programs and serve as advisor to park volunteer ambassador 25%

Overnight travel: Anticipate up to one week of travel per month, 2?5-day trips.
Air travel anticipated:
2-5 day trips, up to once per month Physical requirements: The position is primarily sedentary with occasional visits to partner sites throughout the United States.
