Job Description

We're looking for fun, personable, punctual, dependable and fast learning people to join our team. We are currently hiring a gift shop associate, reservations and front desk person. You can find more about the park at our website here: https://coralcrater.com/
SCHEDULE:
Candidates must have open availability. Meaning you must be available any day of the week (Including weekends). This is a part time position on Saturdays and Sundays. You must have availability from 7am-10pm each day
JOB DESCRIPTION
The gift shop role is the first point of contact for guests and Coral Crater Adventure Park. This position requires an energetic, happy, smiling person who plays the role as an ambassador of the park for all guests. First impressions are crucial in this role. Guest satisfaction is of the highest importance for this position. It is your responsibility to provide the guests an easy and relatively quick check in experience. After leaving the check in area the guests shouldn't have any questions as they prepare for the tour because you have answered them all and prepared them for the exciting, fun day they have ahead of them.
Requirements:
Must be located on the island of Oahu - All interviews must be in person at the park. We will not hire remotely. Positive attitude Professional Sales Oriented Experience with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Gmail) Ability to consistently start/carry on a comfortable conversation with strangers Ability to naturally command the attention of a group of 10-12 people Ability to make a good first impression and instill confidence in others Ability to stand for 8 hours during a shift. Must be willing to use your own phone to clock in and clock out and use our business app for all inbound/outbound calls.
Responsibilities:
Closing/Opening the Gift Shop Charge electronics (e.g., iPads, rental cameras) Prepare rental cameras for the next day Checking in guests Collect payments Weigh guests Check drivers licenses Explain what they can/cannot take on tour Explain where restrooms/waiting areas are located Explain to guests what their day will consist of (e.g., when tours start/end) Call late guests Sell merchandise Sell photo albums to guests Upgrade guests to other tours Give guests park tours of the facilities Run errands Stock merchandise Maintain cleanliness of gift shop & surrounding areas Register counts Assist the tour guides with Pre-tour and Post-tour preparation Communications via phone email and chats with guests and staff Additional Responsibilities Answer phones Reservations (via phone or walk-ins) Set up harnesses Harness guests Provide safety briefing De-gear guests
The Fine Print:
Awkward conversation but we have to have it :) When you are at the park you will be working during your entire shift. It is fun but it is also work. You must be willing to help clean, run errands and do maintenance around the park when asked. Must be professional in appearance. No facial piercings, no facial/neck tattoos, or no extreme makeup/hair.
Hiring & Training:
We are looking to hire immediately and start training immediately. Training usually takes a few weeks. You are on a probationary period for your first 180 days. We do not tolerate employees that call out, show up late or leave early for shifts. If you have a habit of doing this then this job is not right for you.
Pay:
The pay is $16 per hour through training which usually takes 2 weeks then up to $21.50 after training. You will also get paid commission for photo sales and tour/activity upgrades. Part of the pay is an extra $4 per hour attendance bonus (Ask in the interview how this works!). There is room to make more money after being proficient with phone, email reservations and other tasks after the 180 day probationary period. You may learn how to be a guide if you are interested in doing that as part of the job as well. There is also the opportunity to earn gratuity, and bonuses. We will reach out to you if selected.
