Ability to listen and communicate effectively with resort guests and other team members. Ability to extend arms, stoop, stand, bend, and walk in public areas for extended periods of time. Ability to read reports. Ability to write sign-out logs and monitor inventory. Ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to work in cold and hot weather. Computer literate. Here's what you'll do during a typical day: Create meaningful Hawaiian cultural experiences: Share the rich traditions, values, and stories of Hawai ʻ i by delivering engaging cultural activities and experiences that create a true sense of place for guests while supporting the Director of Culture as needed. Lead immersive cultural classes and demonstrations: Facilitate a variety of hands-on experiences such as Hawaiian language lessons, hula, ʻ ukulele, lei making, coconut husking, lauhala weaving, Hawaiian games, and other cultural demonstrations that celebrate the spirit of Hawai ʻ i.

Innovate and enhance cultural programming:

Research, develop, and implement new cultural activities, events, and guest experiences that further position Grand Wailea as Hawai ʻ i's premier destination for authentic cultural connection and innovation.

Support team member engagement initiatives:

Assist with recognition programs, service anniversary celebrations, holiday events, team member appreciation activities, survey initiatives, and other programs that foster a positive and connected workplace culture.

Strengthen community partnerships:

Participate in and support community outreach efforts, charitable events, youth hospitality programs, career days, and other initiatives that reinforce Grand Wailea's commitment to the Maui community.

Champion the spirit of aloha:
