We are seeking an energetic and engaging Tour Guide for Kids to lead fun, educational, and memorable tours tailored specifically for children. In this role, you will create a lively atmosphere that sparks curiosity, promotes learning, and ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all young guests. Your enthusiasm and storytelling skills will bring our outdoor adventures to life, making each visit an unforgettable journey for kids and their families alike. This is a great supplemental opportunity for current teachers. You'd be able to pick up tours on the weekends and school breaks. (When teachers are off, kids are off so that's when we're the busiest!) Duties Lead engaging guided tours designed specifically for children, incorporating storytelling techniques to captivate young audiences Manage tour groups efficiently, ensuring all children are safe, supervised, and actively participating throughout the experience Build rapport with tour guests by fostering a welcoming environment and addressing questions with enthusiasm and clarity Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times, staying mindful of traffic, "characters" in the Quarter. Ensure children and families are respectful to the residents of the French Quarter. Requirements Proven experience in tour guiding, teaching, or outdoor work environments with children required. Strong communication skills with the ability to present information clearly and engagingly to young audiences Demonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to manage tour group dynamics effectively Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor that fosters positive guest relationships Ability to manage time efficiently while maintaining high energy levels throughout tours Join us as a Tour Guide for Kids and ignite imaginations while providing safe, educational adventures!
