We are looking for bilingual speakers (Italian-English or Spanish-English) for a long-term freelance collaboration to join our team as tour guides in Boston . This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a growing team, help shape new experiences, and play a key role in introducing visitors to one of America's most historic and fascinating cities. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Unfortunately, we cannot provide visa sponsorship. The Role Includes Conducting walking tours Telling stories live to guests Creating photos and short videos during tours for social media Promoting additional tours when appropriate A passion for photography or videography is a strong plus. This role is about telling stories about Boston and America — history, culture, the American Revolution, literature, politics, sports, music, and iconic figures — both to a live audience and on camera.
Compensation Hourly tour rates:
$18-$40, depending on tour type, experience level, and overall performance Higher-paying tours assigned based on reliability, guest feedback, reviews, and overall performance Gratuities are an important part of total compensation; while never guaranteed, our guides typically receive consistent and solid tips Bonuses and performance incentives available for top performers Additional commissions earned by selling extra tickets or promoting additional tours Candidates with sales or marketing experience can realistically double or even triple their income , thanks to commissions earned from tours and experiences sold through our website. Type of Collaboration This is a freelance, independent contractor position , not an employer-employee relationship. Guides work on an on-call basis , with schedules varying based on seasonality, availability, language skills, and performance. We strongly value long-term collaborations and prefer working consistently with the same trusted guides. Strong performers receive more tour opportunities Reliable guides are prioritized for higher-paying assignments Growth opportunities are available for guides who demonstrate leadership, sales ability, content creation skills, and excellent guest reviews While this is not a full-time position, during the busy season it can become a consistent source of income , and for the right multilingual and sales-oriented candidate, a stable year-round freelance opportunity .
