Rieger & Co. Tour Guides share the story of our brand with guests interested in taking a deeper dive into our history and spirits. This position requires an energetic and self-motivated work ethic, ability to work with others, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to upholding company culture and brand standards. Strong leadership skills, strong communication skills, and an undying passion for J. Rieger & Co.'s history and spirits is a must. In-depth education and knowledge of the J. Rieger & Co. brand and spirits is vital to the role.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead scheduled public and private tours at the distillery Complete daily tour guide side work and maintenance of tour path Able to stand for an 8 hour shift and lift boxes of up to 18lbs Assist with front desk duties including but not limited to: greeting guests, answering phone calls, tour guest check in procedures, charitable donation pick ups Assist with gift shop duties including but not limited to: maintaining cleanliness of gift shop, stocking merchandise items, stocking spirits, managing floor inventory Attend internal ongoing education programming Maintain an organized schedule - operating autonomously in situations without heavy oversight Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures in relation to J. Rieger & Co. Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of all work and service areas Demonstrate a positive and professional manner to lead by example and inspire other team members Ensure an inclusive and safe working environment for all guests, clients, and coworkers alike Other duties as assigned by the Front Desk Manager and Hospitality Managers Helpful Experience A solid foundation of J. Rieger & Co. brand and spirits knowledge Open and flexible availability (specifically Saturday availability) Experience in guest facing positions A drive to engage and interact with guests in a positive and informative manner Current employment at J. Rieger & Co. and seeking to cross train into the tour program Keys to thriving at J. Rieger & Co. Be genuine, positive, and empathetic Have a thirst for knowledge Extend authentic hospitality to all you encounter Be open to collaboration Be yourself! Must have flexible availability including evenings and weekends. Must have open availability on Saturday's. 20-25 hours a week
