Field Teams Leader - Reserve Staff 4.7 4.7 out of 5 stars 1 Convoy Drive, Springfield, MO 65802 Convoy of Hope 18 reviews Ministry Function The Field Teams Leader - Reserve Staff supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by serving local team members and partners, Field Teams, and overall goals of Convoy of Hope by effectively serving as the leader for Field Teams. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Serves as the Field Teams Leader with teams in the field, working to facilitate a fulfilling trip for all participants. Reports on finances and trip activity by required deadlines, managing large sums of money with integrity and precision. Work with the Convoy of Hope Travel Team within required timeframes to book travel for opportunities to lead teams. Ongoing learning through various web-based training modules and periodic in-person trainings such as the Field Teams Leader Summit. Fulfills all other duties as assigned. Required, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Experience in leading at least five mission trips, preferably Field Teams (as a volunteer leader). A measure of flexibility regarding availability to lead in various seasons of the year. The flexibility to serve in leadership with at least four Field Teams in a year. Excellent internal communication skills for dialogue with Operations Managers and other Field Teams staff. Displays excellent communication skills for adequately conveying the work of Convoy of Hope to outside constituencies. Possesses leadership and organization skills at the level needed to effectively lead a team of diverse individuals under stressful conditions. Displays excellent interpersonal communication skills to work with teammates, pastors, volunteers, contractors, and disaster survivors. Serves as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden, and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry. Positively represents the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies. As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that team members embrace the organization's religious purposes for which it exists, and not only agree with its Statement of Faith but demonstrate it in their lives on an ongoing basis. Supervisory Responsibilities This position may have supervisory responsibilities over volunteers. This is a flexible, temporary position with an estimated duration of 1 year.
