Position Function:
Oversees and coordinates the operations of the Welcome Center located in the Cullis Wade Depot. Performs and/or oversees all activities related to university tours, and/or related programs and events. Oversees and coordinates administrative and facilities services.Salary Grade :
14 Please see Staff Compensation Structure or Skilled Crafts and Service Maintenance Compensation Schedule for salary ranges. For salary grade UC, these positions are "Unclassified" and salary ranges are determined by the hiring department.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Ensures the Welcome Center provides a welcoming environment and a positive campus visit experience. 2. Implements and maintains a campus visit experience that aligns with the University brand (signage, decoration, videos, music, etc.) 3. Initiates and implements direct outreach marketing efforts to the University community and the general public on behalf of the Welcome Center's programs and services. 4. Serves as public information contact, as appropriate for the Welcome Center, and maintains communications with University constituencies. 5. Evaluate the campus tours and makes adjustments/improvements accordingly. 6. Oversees the production of routine promotional printed materials. 7. As appropriate to the position, plans or assists with planning and coordinating special events, receptions, and luncheons. 8. Manages budget for the unit and regularly monitors expenditures. 9. Hires, trains, and supervises subordinate staff, students, and/or volunteers; assigns, prioritizes, and coordinates day-to-day tasks. 10. Serves as advisor for the Maroon Visitor Information Program (Maroon VIP- student volunteers) and conducts the training.
