Job Description
We have recently expanded to launch a Group Travel Business, after seeing requests for Corporate Groups, MICE, School Travel & Entertainment growing steadily. After unprecedented success in the opening months, we are now looking to grow the business with our in New York office. We are looking to bring in an experienced group travel operation expert, who can work alongside our Commercial Jet brokers in Uniondale office and beyond, to establish a successful group travel business in USA. The role requires a multi-skilled individual who can source, manage & book enquiries, deliver outstanding customer service, and help us to cement our position within the sector.
We are a fast-growing company, with plans for further expansion in the Groups Travel space over the coming years. We are looking for pro-active, energetic and driven people to help us take our business to the next level. Job Description
WORKING WITHIN THE TRAVEL
DIVISIONUse experience and knowledge of USA group travel market to set up our access to market with all major airlines to enable us to quote, book and manage group travel requests with speed, cost-efficiency.Analyse the gaps in our business set up, identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes within our operations to improve efficiency.
Working to externally source leads, as well as engaging with referred Large Group Private Aviation Clients, to build a List of Repeat Travel Customers.
Demonstrating an expert understanding of the most suitable Group Travel Product for each customer, and making suitable recommendations.
Managing group travel bookings from enquiry to completion, and collaborating with other company departments to ensure best possible experience for our customers.
Always taking a "Customer First" attitude, and taking full ownership of our Customers In-Destination Experience, which may involve working outside of regular hours to ensure all customer trips run successfully.
Maintaining relationship with repeat clients, and pro-actively managing your customer list through outbound sales calls, emails and visits (both face-to-face and virtual) and ensuring that they come back to you again and again for their group travel needs.
Engaging with Suppliers & Partners to ensure you are able to provide the most suitable choices for the customer's requirements.
Working towards exceeding daily, monthly & annual goals linked to both productivity and financial targets, and being able to collaborate, work as part of a team, and contribute towards a wider group collective.
Following company procedure in a methodical and chronological way to ensure protection of both TTD and your clients.
Working productively in what can sometimes be a pressurised environment, and making prompt, clear decisions which may involve tough choices or considered risks.
Representing the Business externally at events with suppliers, customers & wider industry peers.
In time, recruit and train new groups consultants to join the business and enable us to continue to grow.
QualificationsTHE PERSONVery clear written & verbal communication skillsFluency in both written and spoken English Extensive knowledge of major global destinations and travel products, and an up to date understanding of latest tourism trends.
Someone with a high aptitude and passion for sales, ideally with a track record from previous Travel Industry role.
An organised & disciplined attitude towards workload and time management, balancing multiple factors at any one time, is very important.
A willingness to commit to the demands of the role - including (where necessary) working outside of regular working hours to get the job done.
Ability to work independently, but also able to collaborate with people inside and outside of both The Travel Division and the wider parent company.
Somebody who enjoys working to both individual and team goals / objectives, within in a friendly and competitive environment.
Previous experience of working on a GDS (ideally Amadeus) is desirable Previous experience of booking and managing Groups within the Travel Industry is desirableAdditional Information
