Travel Agency Manager

Job Overview Are you passionate about travel, love helping people create unforgettable memories, and have a natural talent for leadership and organization? We are looking for a Travel Agency Manager to lead our growing travel team and help deliver exceptional experiences for our clients. This position is ideal for someone who has professional or personal travel experience , enjoys learning about destinations and travel brands, and thrives in a fast-paced, people-focused environment. As Travel Agency Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the agency and manage a team of 1-4 travel professionals . You will help ensure our clients receive personalized service from the initial conversation through the completion of their trip, while also supporting your team in reaching sales and service goals. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, motivated, a quick learner, and an overachiever who takes pride in getting things done well . Someone who is naturally curious about travel and excited to continually learn about destinations, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, and other travel brands will excel in this position. Travel industry experience is preferred, but not required for the right candidate. We are willing to train someone who has the right leadership skills, personality, work ethic, and passion for travel. What We're Looking For Travel experience — professional travel industry experience is preferred, but significant personal travel experience and a genuine passion for travel are also valued. Management or leadership experience — experience managing people, projects, teams, or daily operations is important. Sales experience — a background in sales, relationship building, or working toward performance goals is strongly preferred. Travel technology experience — familiarity with TRAMS, ClientBase, reservation systems, or other travel agency technology is a plus, but not required. Personable and client-focused — you genuinely enjoy helping people and creating experiences that become lasting memories. Organized and detail-oriented — you can manage multiple clients, bookings, deadlines, and team responsibilities without losing track of the details. Quick learner — you are comfortable learning new systems, destinations, suppliers, travel brands, and industry processes. Self-motivated and driven — you take initiative, look for ways to improve, and are willing to go above and beyond. Interested in learning — you enjoy discovering new destinations, hotels, cruise lines, resorts, tour companies, and travel products so you can better serve clients. Social media experience is a plus — experience creating content, managing social media, or promoting travel online is welcomed. Strong communicator — you are comfortable communicating professionally with clients, vendors, and team members. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the travel agency. Manage and support a team of 1-4 office members , helping create an organized, positive, and productive work environment. Provide leadership, coaching, and ongoing support to team members. Help establish and maintain high standards for client service, sales, organization, and follow-through. Oversee travel scheduling, reservations, itinerary planning, and client communications. Work with clients to understand their travel preferences, budgets, interests, and goals. Assist in creating personalized vacations and travel experiences. Maintain strong relationships with clients and provide knowledgeable recommendations on destinations, accommodations, transportation, activities, cruises, tours, and other travel experiences. Monitor bookings and ensure accuracy, organization, and attention to detail throughout the planning process. Train and mentor team members on customer service, sales, travel planning, systems, and agency procedures. Help team members become knowledgeable about travel suppliers, destinations, and industry trends. Learn and stay current on travel brands, destinations, resorts, cruise lines, tour operators, and new travel opportunities. Monitor industry trends and travel regulations that may impact clients and bookings. Support sales growth by identifying opportunities to increase client relationships, repeat business, referrals, and overall agency performance.
