  • 9 per hour Department Mission and Purpose Baylor Athletics' role is to support, promote and reflect the Christian educational mission of the University as outlined in Pro Futuris through its staff, student-athletes and nationally competitive intercollegiate athletics programs.
Job Summary This position requires preparing and managing equipment on campus and during travel, providing clean laundry to team members, assisting in on campus recruiting responsibilities, and other tasks involving team preparatory work. Specific tasks and responsibilities this job may incur are listed below: Job Functions
  • Attend all mandatory meetings, meets, and functions.
  • Assist in office paperwork
  • Provide clean laundry twice a week and place in athletes' lockers
  • Maintaining team locker room and team room
  • Set up uniforms and necessary equipment before each meet (home and away)
  • Collect uniforms after each meet
  • Keep inventory on storage unit, with a monthly report
  • Play music during practice (for background and team event music)
  • Film video footage at practices with iPads and upload videos to team Dropbox after practices
  • Set up the video delay TV during practices
Travel Duties:
Bus driver tip payment on the road, handing out per diem, attaining signatures, etc.
  • Packing extra uniforms/radio/iPad when traveling
  • Pick up snacks before travel trips
  • Make customized list of travel snacks and prepare them in Ziplock bags prior to each away meet
  • make customized list and emailing it nutritionist (Treasure needs to be CC'd on the email), after snacks are prepared, student manager will pick them up from Highers Simpson
  • Put together per diem envelopes
  • travel and as needed
  • Keep score tally at meets
  • Record all events on iPad during meets
  • Ensure that snacks and beverages are available for each practice/meet
  • Pick up team room snacks weekly
  • Assist with organization of equipment room
  • Handling tailored gear pick-up and drop-offs
  • Distribute team issued gear per Treasure
  • Assist in recruiting weekends
  • Other duties as assigned by A&T Staff
  • Compliance with all NCAA and Baylor policies Learning Outcomes
  • Provide employment experience and a working knowledge of daily operations within an NCAA Division I Athletics Department.
