1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interim Imaging Manager to oversee daily operations of a hospital imaging department, requiring a WA or compact RN license and prior supervisory experience. Details Hospital-based Imaging department leadership role Responsible for coordinating overall operations of the Medical Imaging unit Oversees resource allocation and ensures cost-efficient, quality patient care delivery Collaborates with nursing, physicians, and other disciplines to achieve optimal patient outcomes Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexibility required Some weekend coverage and after-hours call availability required Service responsibility may extend 24/7 depending on site and modality needs May involve a dual matrixed reporting structure typical of hospital-based leadership roles Requirements Active WA state or compact RN license required Bachelor's degree in a related field or graduation from an accredited imaging modality program required Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Master's degree preferred Registry or registry eligibility with ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB required Current Washington State Certification required if applicable Minimum of five years of progressively responsible work experience required At least three years of supervisory or management experience required Additional Information Defines and monitors standards of patient care and imaging practice Ensures appropriate utilization of human and material resources within the department Maintains extensive internal and external contacts including physicians, vendors, and healthcare management Serves as a key liaison between imaging staff and other hospital departments Interprets and applies a wide variety of policies, procedures, and programs
