At Block by Block, we employ Ambassadors who help build better public spaces by making them friendlier, safer, and cleaner for the communities we serve. What You'll Be Doing :
This role will provide a high level of visibility at the street level to carry out a wide variety of tasks to improve the overall experience and appearance of the zone they are assigned to. Must maintain a positive, professional demeanor at all times. Actively acknowledge and engage pedestrians and visitors with a friendly greeting/smile in order to provide directions and/or city information. Ambassadors will be responsible for making a specified number of visits to district businesses to share information and make professional contacts on behalf of the customer. Remove graffiti and posters from light posts, trash cans, news boxes and other public infrastructures. Scraping stickers and taking down flyers. Attention to detail is a must. Must be able to provide written reports of broken infrastructure, graffiti on private property, and provide a basic daily report of accomplishments and tasks completed. These reports are often used as a work order for the city and district maintenance personnel. Must be able to speak, read and write the English language.

What we're asking for : Experience preferred, but not required. We will train. Must have a H.S. Diploma or GED Must be at least 18 years of age. Valid Driver's License preferred, but not required. Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug test. Must have the physical capacity to walk and/or bicycle continuously during an eight-hour shift, with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break. Must be able to work outdoors in all conditions (free uniforms provided) Must be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.
