Overview The Sandpiper Cafe is seeking a server to join our team! We are a fast paced downtown restaurant serving breakfast and lunch 7am - 2pm, Thursday-Monday. Pay starts at $14 per hour plus tips. Staff receive free shift meals and drinks, employee discounts, paid sick leave and free downtown parking Responsibilities Provide our guests with warm, friendly and efficient service. Learn our menu and provide information about food and beverage offerings. Take accurate orders from guests using Square POS. Handle transactions accurately, processing payments and providing change as needed. Ensure compliance with food safety and handling regulations throughout service. Maintain cleanliness of the dining area and service stations. Requirements Must be 18+ Prior experience in food service Familiarity with food safety standards and a current Alaska Food Handlers Card Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members. Experience using cash registers or point-of-sale systems. Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and safely lift up to 25 pounds. Reliable transportation and morning availability.
