$14.00 + Tips Job Summary Froso's Family Dining is seeking a friendly, energetic Server to join our front-of-house team. You will be the face of our restaurant, responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality, guiding guests through our menu, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. The ideal candidate is a master multitasker who stays positive under pressure and takes pride in providing top-tier customer service.
Core Responsibilities Guest Hospitality:
Greet guests warmly, present menus, answer questions, and make thoughtful food and beverage recommendations.
Order Management:
Take accurate food and drink orders and input them correctly into the POS system.
Food & Drink Delivery:
Deliver dishes and beverages to tables promptly, ensuring presentation and modifications are correct.
Table Maintenance:
Pre-bus tables by removing dirty dishes and utensils throughout the meal; reset tables quickly after guests leave.
Financial Accuracy:
Process guest payments accurately via cash, credit cards, or digital gift cards and handle the cash drawer.
Side Work:
Complete opening, running, and closing side duties (e.g., rolling silverware, stocking service stations, wiping down menus).
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
1+ years of serving experience in a fast-paced or full-service restaurant preferred (will train the right personality).
Communication:
Strong communication and active listening skills to connect authentically with guests and kitchen staff.
Multitasking:
Ability to manage a multi-table section efficiently while keeping a calm, professional demeanor.
Technical Skill:
Experience with POS systems (e.g., Toast, Clover, Aloha) is a plus.
Certification:
Must possess or obtain a valid Alaska DEC Food Worker Card within 30 days of hire.
Alcohol Certification:
Must possess or obtain an Alaska ABC Board-approved alcohol server certification (e.g., TAP Card) within 30 days of hire. Out-of-state certificates are not accepted. Must carry this card on your person during all shifts.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours and carry heavy trays up to 30 lbs.
Pay:
From $14.00 per hour
