Expo/Food Runner

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced casual restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and the ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff. Duties Deliver food from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation. Assist servers by providing support during busy periods, including refilling drinks and clearing tables. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including bussing tables after guests leave. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests. Adhere to food safety standards and proper handling procedures at all times. Assist in food preparation as needed, including basic cooking tasks or assembling dishes. Utilize POS systems such as TOAST POS or

SHIFT4 POS

for order tracking when necessary. Provide excellent guest services by addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred. Knowledge of food handling practices and safety regulations. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. Familiarity with kitchen operations and culinary practices is advantageous. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality service.
