Responsibilities Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor. Answer phone, and assist host with seating guests. Take food and drink orders accurately using POS system. Provide recommendations and upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience. Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining high standards of service. Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math for processing payments. Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area according to sanitation standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication regarding orders and special requests. Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction and positive guest relations. Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times. Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, with fine dining experience being a plus. Teamwork is key to a successful restaurant. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables during busy periods. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and order processing. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation is a plus. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
