Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and guide them to their tables with a friendly, energetic attitude Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring all special requests are noted Serve food, cocktails, wine, spirits, and other beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality Upsell menu items and suggest pairings to enhance the guest experience and increase sales opportunities Handle cash transactions accurately, process sales using POS systems, and manage billing with precision Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols Provide exceptional guest relations through attentive service, prompt responses to inquiries, and personalized recommendations based on guest preferences Requirements Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or upscale settings Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus Culinary experience or familiarity with food preparation enhances your ability to assist guests effectively Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail mixing, and beverage service techniques including cocktail experience is highly desirable Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining genuine guest engagement Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation practices are required for safe food handling Previous experience in serving roles such as host/hostess or bussing contributes to your success in this position Basic math skills for cashiering and sales transaction processing with accuracy Strong customer service orientation with a focus on guest satisfaction and relationship building Embark on a rewarding journey where your enthusiasm fuels memorable dining experiences!
