Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing quality dining experience to residents in assisted living facility and ensures meals are served according to diet orders.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Greets residents (and visitors if applicable) at table before taking orders or serving.
  • Politely and efficiently takes meal orders and delivers them to the kitchen.
  • Assures adaptive equipment present for residents who require it.
  • Serves beverages, cereals, soups, salads, meals and deserts.
  • Assists residents with opening packaging, cutting food, etc. as necessary.
  • Delivers meal trays to resident apartments as necessary.
  • Busses dining room tables after every service.
  • Cleans dining room chairs after every service.
  • Vacuums dining room after meals.
  • Sets tables for next meals.
  • Completes side duties such as refilling sugar and creamer packets, cleaning beverage containers, etc.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Ability to walk three to four hours per day. Also, run or walk rapidly. Attends education and training classes, including as necessary to fulfill state or provincial regulations. Adheres to Dress/Appearance Code. Able to speak, read, and write English. Has criminal history clearance per state or provincial regulations (or per Sunridge Village policy if not required by state or province). Maintains ability to lift 50 pounds; to stand or walk throughout vast majority of typical 12- hour workday; and to frequently push, pull, bend, twist, reach, grasp, and perform fine manipulation tasks.
