Duties Greet guests promptly with enthusiasm and guide them to their tables, providing menus and answering initial questions about the menu offerings. Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system. Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness, including beverage service such as cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and food handling. Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card processing. Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and adhering to food safety protocols throughout service. Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items, accommodating special requests, and ensuring overall guest satisfaction during their visit. Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with a strong foundation in hospitality principles. Proficiency with POS systems. Extensive knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine pairings, and bartending techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally. Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling procedures. Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a plus for understanding food preparation and presentation standards. Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience while increasing revenue opportunities. Knowledge of food safety practices including proper sanitation, food handling, and allergy awareness.
