Duties Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience Take accurate food and beverage orders using Toast POS, ensuring special requests are noted Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards and ensuring guest satisfaction Process sales transactions efficiently, including cash handling and credit card processing with Toast POS Upsell menu items such as appetizers and beverages to enhance guest experiences and increase sales Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, service stations, and dining areas in accordance with food safety standards Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff during busy periods when needed Provide expert knowledge on ramen, Japanese hot tastings, sake, and food pairings to elevate guest enjoyment Handle guest inquiries promptly, resolve issues professionally, and foster positive guest relations Support opening or closing procedures including setting up or cleaning service areas Requirements Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments; fine dining or nightclub experience is a plus Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, Toast POS, or OpenTable for order entry and sales processing Strong knowledge of beverage service including spirits, wine, cocktails, and drink presentation techniques Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during peak hours Ability to upsell menu items confidently to maximize sales opportunities Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and guest-focused approach Culinary experience or kitchen background is advantageous but not required Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment Join our team where your enthusiasm fuels memorable moments!
