This position requires working on Sundays and on-call availability on Fridays and Saturdays . This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a welcoming dining environment while supporting food preparation and service in a fast-paced restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing excellent customer service, maintaining high standards of food safety, and ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen and dining area. This position is perfect for someone eager to develop culinary skills and work with a professional team. Responsibilities Serve meals to customers with professionalism, friendliness, and attention to details. Assist in food preparation, including portioning and plating meals according to established standards. Support the kitchen team by cleaning dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and end of day overall cleaning following restaurant protocols. Ensure proper handling of food items in accordance with food safety regulations and Serve Safe standards. Help with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas to promote sanitation and safety. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to workplace safety guidelines and PPE use. Assist with manual handling tasks such as stocking where heavy lifting of supplies using safe lifting practices is necessary. Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with kitchen staff. Requirements Experience working in a restaurant or kitchen is a plus but not required. Knowledge of food production, preparation, serving techniques, and sanitation standards is not required. Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong understanding of food safety practices including proper handling of food products and sanitation procedures. Must receive Serve Safe certificate within 30 days of employment. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and staff. Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, heavy lifting, bending.
