This role is responsible for creating a personalized guest experience while maintaining the hotel's standards of quality, hospitality, and service excellence. Work Schedule This position is regularly scheduled to work three (3) overnight shifts per week and requires flexibility to work additional day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts based on operational needs.
Job Requirements:
Provide courteous, professional, and attentive service throughout every guest interaction, ensuring an exceptional in-room dining experience. Receive, process, and coordinate guest food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently. Prepare service trays, tables, and amenities in accordance with established presentation and service standards. Deliver food, beverages, and guest amenities promptly while ensuring quality, accuracy, and proper presentation. Retrieve trays, tables, and service equipment from guest rooms in a timely manner. Maintain service stations by stocking, organizing, and replenishing china, glassware, linens, coffee service items, and other operating supplies. Review VIP arrivals and special requests, ensuring all guest preferences and amenities are prepared and delivered appropriately. Communicate effectively with Culinary, Stewarding, and management teams regarding guest requests, order status, and service needs. Maintain a thorough knowledge of menus, daily specials, beverage offerings, and hotel services to confidently answer guest questions and recommend menu selections. Identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience through thoughtful recommendations and appropriate upselling. Answer telephones professionally and respond to guest requests in accordance with established service standards. Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities to ensure operational readiness and cleanliness. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with hotel policies and applicable health and safety standards. Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a commitment to delivering exceptional guest service while fostering positive working relationships with fellow team members. Adhere to all hotel policies, procedures, safety standards, and brand service expectations. Perform other duties as assigned to support the Food & Beverage operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a luxury hotel, restaurant, or hospitality environment preferred. Strong guest service, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and a positive attitude. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overnights, weekends, and holidays. Basic knowledge of food and beverage service, menu terminology, and hospitality standards preferred.
Requirements:
The Room Service Server is responsible for receiving orders, preparing orders and delivering items to guestrooms in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner.
