Part-Time Starting Pay:
$16.90 per hour + pooled tips Schedule Guaranteed Friday and Saturday shifts. On-call availability for Wednesday and Thursday. Evening availability required. Exact shift times and on-call scheduling expectations will be discussed during the interview. About the Opportunity Owen's Bistro is an intimate, family-owned fine-dining restaurant built around chef-driven food, thoughtful service, and lasting relationships with our guests. We're looking for a dependable server who takes hospitality seriously and wants to grow through hands-on training and mentorship. You should have a foundation in attentive table service, a genuine interest in food and beverages, and the humility to keep learning. We're preparing for our busy season and taking the time to find the right addition to our team. Responsibilities Provide warm, professional service from the initial greeting through the guest's departure. Learn our menu, ingredients, preparation methods, specials, wines, and cocktails. Guide guests with thoughtful recommendations based on their preferences. Enter orders accurately, communicate guest requests, and coordinate meal pacing with the kitchen. Anticipate guest needs and maintain clean, properly set tables throughout service. Support the entire dining room by running food, clearing and resetting tables, polishing glassware and flatware, and helping coworkers. Complete opening and closing duties thoroughly. Take initiative during slower periods by cleaning, organizing, restocking, and studying menu and beverage offerings. Receive feedback professionally and apply it consistently. Qualifications At least one year of full-service serving experience preferred. Upscale casual, fine-dining, or wine-focused restaurant experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with attentive table service, meal pacing, and proper handling of glassware and flatware. Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a dependable commute to Chino. Availability for the listed schedule. Clear communication, sound judgment, and a calm approach during busy service. Willingness to participate in a tip pool and share service and side-work responsibilities. Patience with thorough training and willingness to learn our systems before independently handling a full section. Interest in developing food, wine, cocktail, and hospitality knowledge. Our Team and Training You'll work closely with hands-on owners and a small team where everyone contributes. We value respectful communication, accountability, and people who notice where help is needed. You do not need to arrive knowing everything. You do need to bring effort, curiosity, and a willingness to practice. Training will cover our menu, POS, service sequence, and dining-room standards, with progression based on demonstrated readiness. How to Apply Apply through Indeed with your résumé and current availability. Include a short note explaining why Owen's Bistro interests you and one hospitality skill you would like to develop.Job Type:
