Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities Maintain thorough knowledge of our menu offerings, including sushi, sashimi, tempura, and other Japanese specialties Handle food safety and sanitation procedures diligently, including proper food handling and cleaning protocols Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure smooth operations Manage guest relations by addressing inquiries promptly and resolving any concerns professionally Qualifications Proven restaurant experience with a focus on food service, serving, or hospitality roles in fine dining or casual settings Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with OpenTable is a plus Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally Knowledge of Japanese cuisine and restaurant operations is highly desirable Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and billing accurately Experience with food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures Previous host/hostess or nightclub experience is advantageous but not required Join us in delivering exceptional Japanese dining experiences!
