Job Description
Black Swan Hospitality is building the opening team for By The Sea - our newest coastal venture opening this July. We're searching for hospitality-driven support team members: the kind who anticipate what the team needs before it's asked, move with purpose, and keep service flowing seamlessly while embracing the beautiful chaos of a restaurant opening. Duties Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a positive first impression Assist servers by delivering food and beverages promptly, supporting efficient service during busy hours Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, side stations, and service stations to uphold food safety standards Manage guest inquiries courteously via phone or in person, providing accurate information about menu items or reservations Support host duties by managing reservations, waiting lists, and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and uphold high standards of hospitality Requirements Previous experience as a Host, Runner or Server Assitant or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for hospitality is essential Strong communication skills with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members Knowledge of systems such as OpenTable & Toast is a plus; willingness to learn new technology quickly Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with food safety procedures and restaurant operations is desirable Ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate loads for extended periods during shifts Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor and phone etiquette
