Butcher's House Brasserie - Costa Mesa, CA At Butcher's House Brasserie, a server is much more than someone who takes orders and delivers food. We believe every team member contributes to the overall guest experience and takes pride in maintaining an exceptional dining room. Working here means being part of every task required to keep the front of house operating smoothly, professionally, and efficiently. Responsibilities Provide warm, professional, and attentive service to every guest from arrival to departure. Greet guests, explain menu items, daily specials, wines, and beverages with confidence. Take accurate food and beverage orders using the POS system. Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining proper service standards. Monitor guest satisfaction throughout the meal and anticipate guest needs. Process payments accurately and efficiently. Work closely with the kitchen and fellow team members to ensure seamless service. Prepare and reset tables quickly while maintaining presentation standards. Assist with opening and closing duties. Refill stations, polish glassware, roll silverware, stock service areas, and maintain adequate supplies. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations. Cleanliness & Restaurant Maintenance Maintaining a clean and organized restaurant is everyone's responsibility—not just management or support staff.

Servers are expected to:

Keep the dining room spotless throughout every shift. Maintain clean tables, chairs, booths, windows, floors, and service stations. Keep restrooms clean, stocked, and presentable. Organize storage areas and maintain a clean beverage station. Complete assigned side work thoroughly before leaving. Immediately address spills, clutter, and anything that affects the guest experience. Take ownership of the restaurant's appearance at all times. Team Expectations Success at Butcher's House comes from teamwork. Every server is expected to contribute wherever needed to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

This includes:

Helping fellow servers without being asked. Assisting food runners, bussers, and hosts whenever necessary. Supporting the kitchen when appropriate. Taking initiative instead of waiting to be assigned tasks. Remaining productive during slower periods by completing cleaning, organization, and preparation tasks. Maintaining a positive attitude and professional appearance throughout every shift. Qualifications Previous full-service restaurant experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
