Food Expediter Position Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and friendly Cashier / Food Expediter to join our fast-paced counter service restaurant team. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, accurately taking orders, processing payments, organizing food orders, and ensuring customers receive their meals quickly and correctly.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Take customer orders accurately using the POS system
• Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions
• Package and organize food orders for dine-in, takeout, and online orders
• Expedite food orders by coordinating between kitchen staff and customers
• Ensure orders are complete, accurate, and presented properly before handing out
• Answer customer questions regarding menu items and specials
• Maintain cleanliness of cashier area, dining area, condiment station, and front counter
• Assist with light cleaning, stocking supplies, and side work as needed
• Communicate clearly with kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations
• Help maintain a positive and efficient work environment

Qualifications:

• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
• Previous restaurant or cashier experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Schedule & Expectations:

• Must be dependable and arrive on time for scheduled shifts
• Must be able to work efficiently during busy service periods
• Flexibility with scheduling may be required based on business needs

Compensation:

Hourly pay + tips. We are looking for team members who are dependable, hardworking, and committed to creating a great experience for both customers and coworkers.

From $17.00 per hour
