Job Description
Don't miss this opportunity! We are seeking an experienced food server with a dynamic hospitality driven attitude to join our food & beverage team. For over 100 years Monterey Peninsula Country Club has catered to a diverse Membership of more than 1,100 Members and more than 250 employees. Our employees are our key to success and overwhelming member satisfaction. As a food server at Monterey Peninsula Country Club, we will ask you to: Describe all menu food items including the method of preparation, major ingredients, portion sizes, preparation time, quality standards, taste, appearance, texture, serving temperature, garnish, and method of presentation for all menu items. Greet and acknowledge members and their guests, by name when known. Take members and guests orders and inputs accurately and timely into POS system. Ensure members are charged accurately and correctly for all items consumed and correct member account is billed. Ensure that side stations are maintained with adequate supplies and are clean, organized, and clear of debris. Assist with dining room flow and bill payment to maximize the number of Members served and limit delays in seating. Ensure all services to members are provided in a highly professional and efficient manner with strong attention to detail. Communicate service challenges to management to ensure proper attention is given to Members concerns. What we will need from you: One to two years food service experience in upscale environment. Private club, resort and/or hospitality experience preferred. A great attitude and commitment to providing amazing hospitality. The ability to multitask, produce accurate work, be flexible and have fun. Commitment to embrace our Core Values of Professionalism, Teamwork, Mutual Respect and Accountability Possess Food Handler Certificate or can obtain within 30 days of hire date. Possess Responsible Beverage Service certification or can obtain within 30 days of hire date. Must provide valid document(s) to work in the US.
