Job Description
Experienced Restaurant Server We are seeking a professional, personable, and experienced Server to join our team at a busy resort restaurant in El Portal, California, located along Highway 140 near one of the primary entrances to Yosemite National Park. This is a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant serving travelers from throughout the United States and around the world. The position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse team while providing memorable hospitality to guests visiting one of the country's most popular destinations. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for hospitality, a strong work ethic, and at least three to five years of serving experience in a full-service restaurant. Responsibilities Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience Accurately take and enter food and beverage orders Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally Monitor assigned tables and anticipate guest needs Communicate clearly with guests regarding menu items, specials, and available options Work closely with the kitchen, bar, hosts, bussers, and other team members to provide efficient service Maintain clean, organized, and properly prepared tables and service areas Handle guest concerns professionally and promptly involve a lead or supervisor when needed Follow all company policies and procedures Comply with food safety, sanitation, and responsible alcohol-service requirements Assist with opening, closing, side-work, and other assigned duties Qualifications Three to five years of serving experience in a full-service restaurant Experience working in a busy or high-volume restaurant environment strongly preferred Excellent communication, customer-service, and interpersonal skills Ability to remain professional, organized, and composed during busy service periods Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently under pressure Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist coworkers as needed Reliable, punctual, and professional Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid California Food Handler Card Must obtain any additional certifications required for the position, including responsible beverage-service certification when applicable Benefits Paid sick leave Employee dining discount 401(k) retirement plan (for qualified team members) Health insurance for qualifying employees, subject to hours worked and plan eligibility requirements We are looking for team members who take pride in providing excellent service, enjoy working with people from different backgrounds, and are ready to contribute to a positive and professional restaurant environment.
