Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and guide them through the omakase experience, explaining menu options and chef's specialties with enthusiasm. Serve sushi and related dishes with precision, ensuring presentation quality and proper food handling standards are maintained. Manage beverage service, including cocktail preparation, wine pairing recommendations, and spirits knowledge to enhance the dining experience. Process sales transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently. Upsell menu items and beverage options to maximize sales while ensuring guest satisfaction through personalized recommendations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations and restaurant policies. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and communicate guest preferences or special requests clearly. Skills Proven experience in food service, particularly in sushi, fine dining, or hospitality environments. Strong knowledge of POS systems like Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for reservations and sales processing. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, engaging demeanor that fosters guest relations. Ability to manage time effectively during busy service hours while maintaining attention to detail. Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques. Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation, cash handling, and sales transaction processing.
