A Waiter or Waitress takes orders and serves food and beverages to customers in restaurants. Answers customer questions about menu items, prepares checks and collects payment, and assists with clearing dishes and tables. May work in banquet or dining halls.
The Servers are responsible for taking orders and serving food and drinks to customers with a positive attitude and ensuring that the tables are served properly, and all payments are collected in a timely manner.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Take food and drink orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude Knowledge of the menu with ability to upsell and make suggestions Complete opening, running, and closing side work
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Restaurant or customer service experience preferred Ability to obtain and maintain a food handler certification card Must have flexible schedule to include working weekends and holidays during busy season
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to independently lift, carry, push, and pull up to thirty (30) pounds Must be able to swim or be willing to wear a personal flotation device in instances of emergency Must be able to perform simple grasping, fine manipulation, and repetitive hand & arm movements frequently, and squeezing & overhead reaching occasionally Must be able to work flexible hours based on the needs of the property to include weekends and holidays as needed.
