Server AKAFUJI La Habra, CA Job Details Part-time $16.90 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Guest relations Food hygiene Basic math Bussing Sanitation procedures Food allergen management Food & beverage industry Full Job Description O ur restaurant is Japanese SUshi Restaurant with Omakase Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining presentation standards for fine dining or casual settings Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities Manage tables efficiently, including bussing, resetting, and assisting with food handling and sanitation practices Use reservation systems like OpenTable to manage bookings and optimize seating flow Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently maintained in accordance with health regulations Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering duties and basic math calculations Support guest relations by providing exceptional customer service, resolving issues professionally, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere Requirements Previous restaurant or food service experience, including serving in fine dining environments preferred Strong knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in the food industry Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and order calculations Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends
