We create and operate hotels in places we love to visit! Our portfolio includes Casa Cody in the heart of iconic Palm Springs, The Pearl Hotel in San Diego, Hotel Marina Riviera in Big Bear Lake as well as The Surfrider in Malibu. Coming later this year we will open Hotel Willa in Taos, New Mexico, and Hotel Lucille in the heart of Los Angeles in the neighborhood of Silverlake. Restaurant General Manager Summary of Position :
A server is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a restaurant, café, or similar dining environment. They take food and drink orders, serve meals, and ensure a positive dining experience by meeting customer needs. Servers must be attentive, efficient, and maintain knowledge of the menu to assist guests in making informed choices.
Responsibilities:
Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner. Take food and drink orders, relay them accurately to the kitchen or bar. Serve food and beverages to customers, ensuring presentation and quality standards. Answer customer questions about the menu, including ingredients and dietary restrictions. Check in with customers to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns. Process payments, handle cash and credit card transactions. Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including setting and clearing tables. Assist with restocking supplies and preparing dining areas for service.
Requirements:
Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for handling payments and calculating tips. Strong attention to detail and knowledge of menu items. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and carry trays. Previous restaurant or customer service experience preferred.
Food Handlers Card Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods standing or walking. Must be able to lift, bend, stoop, climb, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
