At Holbox, service is rooted in warmth, education, precision, and care. Our team members help create memorable dining experiences while maintaining the standards of a Michelin-recognized restaurant operating within a casual counter-service and communal dining environment.

Essential Responsibilities:

Guest Experience & Hospitality

• Greet guests warmly and professionally
• Guide guests through the menu with confidence and enthusiasm
• Answer questions regarding ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens
• Deliver food and beverages accurately and efficiently
• Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive service throughout the dining experience
• Maintain a calm and positive demeanor during high-volume service periods
• Handle guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary Food & Beverage Knowledge
• Develop strong knowledge of Holbox menu offerings, seafood preparations,and beverages
• Communicate menu changes, sold-out items, and daily specials accurately
• Maintain awareness of allergy and dietary accommodation policies
• Uphold food safety and sanitation standards at all times

Service Standards:

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service stations and dining areas
• Assist with running food, resetting counter, and supporting teammates as needed
• Follow opening, side work, and closing procedures
• Maintain uniform and grooming standards
• Uphold all company policies and procedures

Teamwork & Communication:

• Work collaboratively with FOH and BOH teams
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with supervisors and coworkers
• Support a positive and professional workplace culture
• Participate in pre-shift meetings and ongoing training

Qualifications:

• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for hospitality and guest service
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in high-volume environments
• Knowledge of seafood and Mexican cuisine
• Familiarity with Michelin-level service standards

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged standing and walking
• Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and carrying trays or dishes
