Job Description
The Best Western Plus Tree House is seeking an energetic and personable Server to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will deliver outstanding guest service by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a memorable dining experience. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. Duties Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of food and drink options Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS Serve food, cocktails, spirits, wine, and beverages efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation Process sales transactions accurately, including cash handling and credit card payments using POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms Upsell menu items such as specialty drinks or desserts to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, including food handling and beverage stations in compliance with food safety standards Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address guest needs promptly Skills Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably in fine dining or nightlife settings such as nightclubs or bars Strong knowledge of POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, and OpenTable for order processing and sales transactions Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle guest inquiries professionally Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations Knowledge of wine, spirits, cocktail preparation, and beverage service techniques Effective time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours Food safety certification and understanding of sanitation practices in food handling environments Culinary experience or kitchen familiarity is a plus for understanding food preparation processes Join us to be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering exceptional hospitality!
