Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, and relay orders efficiently to kitchen staff. Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation, food safety, and sanitation. Check in with guests regularly to ensure their needs are met, addressing any concerns promptly with professionalism and courtesy. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while maintaining accountability for all sales. Clear tables efficiently by bussing dishes and resetting tables quickly to maximize seating capacity during busy hours. Maintain cleanliness of service areas, adhere to sanitation standards, and follow proper food handling procedures at all times. Assist with opening or closing duties as needed, including setting up stations or cleaning up after service shifts. Utilize reservation platforms like OpenTable to manage bookings effectively and optimize guest experience. Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen staff, host/host team, and management to deliver a cohesive service experience. Experience Previous restaurant or food service experience is preferred; fine dining or nightclub background is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS enhances efficiency in order processing. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations and hospitality excellence. Experience in food handling, sanitation practices, and food safety regulations ensures compliance and safety standards are met. Ability to manage multiple tables simultaneously through excellent time management skills in fast-paced environments. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing, and check splitting are essential. Knowledge of upselling techniques to boost sales while enhancing guest satisfaction. Previous host/host or bussing experience provides a solid foundation for delivering exceptional service from arrival to departure.
