Server/Cashier Maiz Cafe Rialto, CA Job Details $16.90 - $20.00 an hour 3 hours ago Full Job Description Maiz Café is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Server/Cashier to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people and can provide attentive service in a fast-paced, full-service restaurant environment. The Server/Cashier will greet guests, take orders, process payments, serve food and drinks, and help create a welcoming dining experience from the moment guests arrive until they leave. Responsibilities Greet guests warmly and provide friendly, attentive service Take dine-in, takeout, and phone orders accurately Answer questions about the menu and make recommendations Enter orders correctly into the point-of-sale system Serve food and beverages promptly Check in with guests throughout their meal and offer refills as needed Process cash, credit card, and digital payments accurately Maintain a clean and organized dining area, register station, and service area Assist with bussing tables, restocking supplies, and preparing the restaurant for opening or closing Package takeout orders carefully and confirm accuracy before handing them to guests Communicate clearly with the kitchen and other team members Follow food safety, cleanliness, and customer service standards Help create a positive and welcoming environment for every guest Qualifications Strong customer service and communication skills Friendly, professional, and dependable Comfortable handling cash and processing payments Able to multitask and stay organized during busy periods Able to work well as part of a team Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Restaurant or customer service experience is preferred, but training is available Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus Schedule Candidates should have flexible availability, including weekends and holidays as needed.
