Lunch + Dinner shifts available (weekends/holidays a plus) About Us Hana Sushi & Izakaya is a high-energy Japanese restaurant known for great service, strong teamwork, and a fun dining experience. We're hiring Servers who are friendly, fast, and detail-oriented. Responsibilities Greet guests, explain the menu, and create a welcoming experience Take accurate food & drink orders and enter them correctly into the POS Deliver food and beverages quickly; check back for quality and guest needs Recommend sushi/izakaya items and upsell specials in a natural way Maintain clean, organized tables and service stations (reset, sanitize, restock) Handle payments accurately (cash/card), split checks, and close out tickets Communicate clearly with kitchen and bar to ensure correct timing and quality Follow all food safety, alcohol service, and sanitation procedures Requirements Server experience preferred (sushi/Japanese experience is a plus, but not required) Strong communication skills and guest-first mindset Able to work fast and stay calm under pressure Reliable attendance and punctuality Able to stand/walk for long periods and carry trays/plates Food Handler Card required (or ability to obtain quickly) California RBS required if serving alcohol (or ability to obtain) Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Pay & Perks Hourly + tips (competitive, based on experience) Employee meal/discounts, flexible scheduling, growth opportunities
