Duties Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, providing detailed descriptions of dishes and drinks. Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems , processing sales transactions efficiently. Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation. Upsell menu items including wines, spirits, cocktails, and specialty dishes to enhance guest experience and increase sales. Manage multiple tables with excellent time management skills, ensuring timely delivery of orders and attentive service throughout the guest's visit. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems like OpenTable or other platforms. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations; assist with food handling and basic food preparation when needed. Provide exceptional guest relations by addressing questions about menu items such as wine knowledge or spirits experience, and resolving any concerns promptly. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams, especially during busy hours or special events like nightlife or fine dining nights. Requirements Previous food service experience in restaurants, fine dining establishments, or nightclubs is highly preferred. Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms; experience with OpenTable is a plus. Strong knowledge of beverage service including cocktails, spirits, wine knowledge, and drink presentation techniques. Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic demeanor; ability to build rapport quickly with diverse guests. Demonstrated ability in upselling menu items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining guest satisfaction. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately and managing cash handling responsibilities. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures. Ability to manage time effectively during high-volume periods while maintaining attention to detail in order accuracy and guest interactions. Hospitality background with experience in food industry settings such as restaurants or nightclubs is preferred; culinary experience is a bonus.
