Servers are responsible for providing excellent guest service, accurately taking and entering orders, delivering food and beverages, and creating a welcoming dining experience for every guest. Responsibilities Greet guests promptly and provide friendly, professional service. Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system. Have a strong understanding of menu items, ingredients, specials, and available beverages. Answer guest questions and make menu recommendations when appropriate. Serve food and beverages in a timely and professional manner. Check on guests throughout their meal and respond promptly to additional requests. Properly handle cash, credit card payments, receipts, and guest checks. Maintain clean and organized tables, server stations, and dining areas. Complete assigned opening, closing, and side-work duties. Communicate effectively with kitchen, bar, management, and other team members. Follow all food safety, sanitation, alcohol service, and company policies. Assist teammates during busy periods to maintain efficient service. Handle guest concerns professionally and notify management when assistance is needed. Qualifications Previous restaurant or serving experience preferred. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and safely carry food and beverage trays. Must be available to work assigned shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must meet all applicable requirements for serving alcoholic beverages. California Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) certification required or must be obtained as required by law. Food Handler Card required or must be obtained within the required timeframe. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. Position Expectations Servers are expected to maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while providing attentive, accurate, and efficient service. Team members should be proactive in assisting guests, maintaining cleanliness, supporting coworkers, and contributing to an excellent overall guest experience
